About DLIBCOM
DLIBCOM (Digital LIBrary COMmunication), a monthly, is published for communicating comprehensive developments in the field of Library and Information (L&I) Profession in India. It links ideas and working of traditional librarians as well as advanced library professionals. Thought provoking editorials help L&I professionals, in generating new ideas and thinking in different directions. It not only publishes researched or review articles but also publishes various news items on L&I professionals, developments, achievements of individuals, State Library Associations, Review of Books, etc... It publishes articles in English, Hindi and Gujarati language. Unlike other journals, it has accepted trilingual formula for its publication.
Special issue of DLIBCOM was released on 9th August, 2007 (on Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's Day) on "Importance of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's works / laws / ideology / views on LIS in present context of universal availability and importance of information / knowledge". Many stalwarts from L&I profession contributed learned and researched articles for this special issue.
